There is nothing Gaby loves more than sharing her knowledge and love of agave spirits as well as the heritage of her native country, Mexico. Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Gaby moved to the UK in 2003 where she worked in some of the best bars of the capital for 10 years. Blending this experience with her Mexican roots, she then became a tequila ambassador, fostering education and appreciation of the category through trainings, tastings and masterclasses for both on-trade professionals and curious drinkers. Gaby’s drive and her continuous quest for learning and discovery, also endorsed by regular travels around Mexico’s distilleries and agave spirits producing regions, led her to become Agave Spirits Ambassador at Speciality Brands. Today she consults for several hospitality outlets and seven Mexican categories and brands, including Sotol. While covering this role, Gaby is able to fully express her fondness of Mexican history and culture and fulfil her mission of sharing education and enhancing people’s perception of Mexican spirits and heritage.
