DAIOS COVE RESTAURANTS IN CRETE WELCOME CHEF JEAN-PHILIPPE BERENS

Our visiting chef’s passion for cooking began during a one-week internship at the Plaza Athénée’s brasserie. After training at the Ferrandi school, he spent nearly a decade at the Plaza Athénée working with Philippe Marc. Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine and memories of his holidays in Juan-les-Pins, he became sous-chef at the Michelin-starred Le Grill in Monaco in 2019, working with Franck Cerrutti. His refined, contemporary approach to cooking led him to participate in the 2020 season of Top Chef, the French edition. Since September 2022, he has been showcasing his culinary expertise aboard Ducasse sur Seine, a 100% electric restaurant cruise on the Seine in Paris, offering a scenic view of the city’s landmarks.
