DAIOS COVE RESTAURANTS IN CRETE WELCOME CHEFS SERGIO & JAVIER TORRES

Twin brothers Javier and Sergio Torres were born in Barcelona in 1970 and discovered their passion for cooking at just eight years old, inspired by their grandmother, Catalina. After training at culinary school and honing their skills in acclaimed restaurants across Spain, Switzerland, and France, they united their expertise in 2002. Their restaurant Dos Cielos Barcelona earned two Michelin stars in the 2018 Guide, and following its closure, their ambitious new project — Cocina Hermanos Torres — was recognized with two Michelin stars in 2019, a third star in 2022, and a Michelin Green Star in 2023. The 800m² Barcelona space places the kitchen at its heart while also functioning as a culinary innovation and social inclusion center. Their cuisine is defined by minimal manipulation of exceptional ingredients, creating dishes of deceptive simplicity yet extraordinary depth of flavor. In 2024, they ranked 20th on the Best Chef Awards International List.
