DAIOS COVE RESTAURANTS IN CRETE WELCOME CHEF JACOB JAN BOERMA

Jacob Jan Boerma commenced his culinary education in the Netherlands and after working abroad alongside award-winning chefs, opened his own restaurant, De Leest in Vaassen in 2002 which earned its first Michelin star 6 months after opening. The second star followed in 2007, and by 2013, it had earned its third. Jacob Jan takes inspiration for his dishes from the edge of the Veluwe nature reserve in the Netherlands with its rich diversity of nature, flora and fauna. In 2016, our visiting chef opened The White Room* on the Dam Square in Amsterdam and continued in 2021 with Fine Fleur* restaurant in Antwerp. In 2022, Jacob Jan Boerma launched Restaurant Smaak in Yokohama, Japan.
